How to Care for Sea Monkeys

STEPS
1. Fill up the tank with 10 ounces of bottled or distilled water. No tap water, as it contains things poisonous to the little guys.

2. Pour in the water purifier (The packet with the 1 on it) included with the set. Leave them in a cool dry place for 24 hours.

3. Put the live sea monkey eggs into the tank, then stir very gently with the included food stick. The hatching time of the Sea-Monkeys varies depending on the place, habitat and actions of the owner. Look at the chart for hatching times depending on temperature.

4. Every 24 hours, aerate the tank water.or if you don't have an air pump just need a container large enough to hold all of the water and pour the sea monkey water back and forth 4-5 times. For different(and better)foods and other Sea-Monkey accessories you can buy them online. Just don't buy those crystals that the "sea monkeys play with", they get trapped under then and suffocate!

5. After five days from adding packet #1, feed your sea monkeys growth food with the SMALL END of the food measuring spoon. You can feed them again in a week, then in another week. After that, you may feed them every other day!

EXTRA INFORMATION
Never get Sea-monkey diamonds when your sea-monkeys are only babies because your Sea-monkeys can get trapped under the diamond and they will suffocate!

Don't freak out if you see algae growing. Algae provides a good snack for your monkeys. But algae can also decrease the oxygen in your tank so you have to wipe them away with your finger or a Q-tip.

Sea monkeys do best if you keep them in light, but not direct sunlight. Remember, we're not trying to serve up boiled shrimp!

If you do not have a tank or the bubble pump, you can use a syringe to aerate the water.

If the water in the tank evaporates about 5 centimetres, then put some bottled water in a pot, wait 24 hours, then pour it in the tank.

If they don't hatch within 24 hours, the water is probably too cold.

If you have any questions, look through the FAQ on the Sea-Monkey site and if your question has not been answered, E-mail your question to the Sea-Monkey site, they will do their best to help.
